Welcome to the second edition of the Northeast Recycling Council's (NERC) Emerging Professionals Program, an initiative aimed at nurturing talent in the field of sustainable materials management (SMM). We are excited to have you join us in advancing sustainable practices and supporting the growth of emerging professionals.
The Emerging Professionals Program seeks to make NERC events and resources more accessible to those just starting out in SMM careers. The Program serves as a platform for emerging talent, connecting them to seasoned industry professionals and other peers, and exposing them to industry discussions about current trends, challenges, and innovations.
Emerging professionals must be sponsored by a current NERC State Member or Advisory Member organization.
Select Emerging Professional(s): The sponsoring organization will select the emerging professional(s) within their organization to participate in the Program. Emerging professionals should demonstrate a genuine interest in recycling, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. Participants should be eager to learn, network, and actively contribute to the SMM community. Emerging Professionals may include employees and/or interns.
Accompaniment: A representative of the organization attending the conference should accompany the selected Emerging Professional. This representative's role includes facilitating, networking, and providing guidance during the event.
Financial Support: The sponsoring entity is responsible for covering all expenses related to the Emerging Professional's participation, including the registration fee, travel arrangements, meals, and hotel reservation.
